Meet the Founder - Sally Hawkins

Inspired by nature…

From the time she was a child, Sally Hawkins has been captivated by the natural world. While other children were glued to the TV, Sally was outside foraging wild berries, gathering elderflowers, and finding joy in nature at every turn. Seeing landscapes change she wondered why more wasn’t being done to protect the countryside she loved. That early concern for the environment became a lifelong passion, shaping everything she has done since.

Over the years, she fused her love for foraging and the wonder of nature’s hidden flavours, from elderflowers and gorse to blackberries and rosehips glowing in the late summer sun, into her cocktail recipes. At home, her kitchen often resembles a small apothecary. Jars of infusions, bottles of delicious experiments, and aromatic herbs waiting to be transformed are part of daily life. Sally approaches each creation with the care of a chef, the curiosity of a scientist, and the soul of an artist.

As an passionate educator, mother and author, she’s shared that passion for knowledge and curiosity at home, in the classroom and beyond, encouraging others to look more closely at the world around them and feel inspired.

Sally has always had a passion for flavour and a flair for entertaining. Her early love of cocktails began with her much-anticipated yearly themed cocktail parties, inspired by world travel and years spent seeking out the very best drinks (she knows it a tough job but someone had to do it!), from rooftop bars in far-off cities to tucked-away pop-ups.

When COVID lockdown hit, Sally posted her creative weekly “Quarantini” uploads on Facebook — playful, uplifting cocktail videos that kept friends and family connected. This sparked In The Mix on TikTok, where she shared recipes, tips, and behind-the-scenes glimpses into the art of cocktail making. By 2023, her passion had grown into a thriving cocktail events and masterclass business an idea first sparked when she built a mobile bar for a friend’s wedding on the beach the previous summer.

When she began dreaming up the Conscious Cocktail Company, Sally knew she wanted to create something more than a drink. She wanted a brand that was transparent, ethical, and sustainable, something symbiotic with nature, not destructive to it. A drink that tasted exceptional, entirely natural, and free from additives or hidden nasties. Above all Sally wanted something that could do good in the world, raising not just a glass, but awareness.

Raise your consciousness…

Every supplier she works with is carefully chosen for their ethics, sustainability, and quality. The result is a celebration of British ingredients, crafted with transparency, artistry, and respect for the planet.

For Sally, this isn’t just about making a delicious cocktail. It’s about telling a story with every can of the fields, vineyards, and wild places that inspired it, and of the belief that pleasure and responsibility can (and should) go hand in hand.

Every sip supports wildlife through her partnership with The Wildlife Trust, protecting the countryside that inspires her work.
